I was wondering if anyone had any hotel recommendations in Glasgow for staying the night before and after the race, and convenient to transportation to/from the race. I think I'd be getting a taxi from the hotel to the race start and then probably a train back from Tyndrum on Saturday night.

Hi Jennifer, Premier Inn in the City Centre would probably be best as the train from Tyndrum back to Glasgow goes to Queen Street, I think there are 2 or 3 near it. The previous post on the forum is from someone with rooms booked in Milngavie and can not make it the night before which is near the start.

I am staying at the Dumbarton Travelodge (£22 per night). I can give you a lift over to the start in the morning, but you may have to make your way back depending on how long it takes me to finish.

Hi, i have a spare room at a premier inn amile fromthe start for the friday and the saturday. its a twin butif you want it for one then you canhave it.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and sorry for the late response - haven't been here in a while. Stan, is your room 100 pounds for 2 nights or just for 1? If it's for both nights, I'm definitely up for that - otherwise it's bit out of my budget & I'll go for the city center hotel.
