Just out of interest what is everyone putting in their drop bags? I've been eating cereal bars, chocolate brioche, bananas, mixed seeds, running gels (for later on when ill struggle to even move) - so will have a supply of each in my bags! I'll prob put compedes and socks in each bag too - Should I take my own water to fill my hydration pack? Is there anything i've missed? Whats everyone elses essentials just incase I want to give anything else a try - this is my 1st ultra for charity so gratefully appreciate any feedback!

Sarah i remember my first fling and i think i put enough food and drink in my drop bags to feed and water the whole field. Things that really work for me now are muller rice, peanut butter sarnies, marmite sarnies ( i love it ) ready salted crisps and grapes. If you can leave Bein Glas with some nice cold red grapes they will see you right. Water is available at check points but if you can freeze your preferred drinks, i like flat coke / irn bru the night before by the time you hit the drop bag locations they should be thawed and nice and cold. I gag on warm / tepid drinks. Good luck and hope you raise tons of dosh. On each of my previous flings (3) i have put old T shirts / socks in my drop bags but never used them or saw them again, not that i wanted too or expected too.

Thanks for that, I love the sound of marmite sandwiches - not had them since I was wee!, and a cool bag full of nice cold red grapes sounds just the ticket for the last drop bag! Thanks so far we have raised 1050 pound s for net patient foundation which is good going, now looking forward to the run and hoping wee make it after all our hard training! Good luck to you too and thanks again
