With some folk having to make long journeys I thought that it was probably time to wish all starters, Marshalls and organisers the very best for the Race.
To those that wish behind me, you ran a great Race and you can be proud of your achievement. Not many that can run 53 miles in one go.
To those that finish in front of me can I just say...well, at least I have a life outside of running. Can you say the same thing? Well, can you!?
All the best Folks.

As you're the Drama Queen it somehow seems appropriate to say "break a leg" but perhaps that would be in poor taste. ;D To everyone else, I'll just wish you all a great day out. If it's your first experience at this kind of distance, just remember that unlike marathons, there *is* life after hitting the wall. Many a runner has "come back from the dead" so to speak will a bit of rest & nutrition. Avoid the temptation to eat and drink too much though as a full stomach that won't empty will hinder you more than help you.

All the very best to everyone involved at the weekend. I'm getting really excited, It doesn't seem 5 minutes since that fateful day after RAW when I heard myself say....."Yes Murdo, I'd love to help"
Looking forward to catching up with all the troops, friends old and new.
See you all bright and breezy at Milngavie 6am.

Good luck everyone. This distance is new to me so feel free to give me a kick up the arse when you see me. Preferably in the form of encouragment.
See you all Saturday.

Best of luck everyone enjoy the day.
I am looking forward to the drained elation of one who has been to the edge and back.

Now I have a meaningful objective, to start in front of DQ and finish behind him. Slow down and run Running after dreams that have come and gone Running in hopes of crossing the finish line with a personal best Running for the glory only seen and celebrated in a reflection Running to be what I want to be Running to see what it takes to achieve Running to avoid the powers that be Running will lead me to the front Running. Always running. Except when contemplating or compensating. Jeff Rushton Remember why we run, where we run and its our choice - enjoy whatever s(a)tan

Wise words Great Mate, wise words.
A huge surprise considering they come from the man that 'contemplates' the name for a pocket sized dwarf and how he would re-arrange the calendar (Having remainder days doesn't work Satan).
Try to avoid the bear, goat and squirrel attacks Folks. In the words of the Bald Headed One:
"Let's be careful out there"
