Hi all, I have a quick question about the 2013 race, hope someone can help. My wife and I have been doing a few adventure races together over the last couple of years, and the Fling is one we'd love to do. But unfortunately, that's how we do races - together. Is there any way for us to enter with the same start time? 53 miles is way towards my good lady's run limits, so she'd need the 15 hours. As an over 40, I'd be an hour later but we'd rather run as a pair. If we did enter, would I just go as an effectively non-registered runner, or risk not being counted as a finisher if we took over 14hrs? Or would it be possible to accommodate pair entries in next year's race? If it's a hassle, no drama. Just thought I'd ask. Cheers, Andy

Hi Andy,
You are in luck. For the 2013 race, all runners will be starting together at 6am, so you can run together.
This a trial for 2013and although we expect a wee bit of congestion at the start, overall we hope it will add to the smooth running of the event.
Cheers
John

Great, thanks John. The day I posted the original question, my good lady got her ballot result for the London marathon in and she got a place, so it's likely we'll need to leave the Fling till 2014 now, since the LM is only 7 days before. Still, if I can convince her that London would be a great last training run for the Fling...who knows. See you either in 2013 or 2014! Cheers, Andy

Andy
Tell your wife she will have more fun on the Fling than FLM.. You can get helicopter rides, Ambulance rides all before Rowardennan and then you cuts and bumps on the head if you dont duck low enough... really sore legs and a funny walk for the week after... and all for £25.. Cant beat it..

Thanks Bill,
You should be on the Fling "marketing" team :-)
